About Me:

I have been a Spartan since conception, if not before!  Although I was raised in East Lansing, I did a stint at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, receiving my BA in English and African American Studies.  I then returned to East Lansing and received a MA in Higher Adult and Lifelong Education from MSU meeting my future husband in the process.

After college we lived abroad for 9 years. We called Rome, Italy, Athens, Greece and Istanbul, Turkey home, (to name a few) as we traveled for his work.  After having two children we returned to the familiarity of my home town, East Lansing, MI and the support of a wonderful family and community here. 

My real estate career began over 10 years ago and I've earned several designations in that time, including my Broker's license. Through my experience as a realtor and as a buyer, seller and new construction home owner, I have learned that buying and selling a home is usually the largest sales transaction we make in life and it can be stressful!  It is important to have someone you trust walking you through it step by step.  It is my professional guarantee to provide you with exceptional service and communication while assisting you with your real estate needs.

These are the steps I take when listing your house:

  • Develop and implement a staging plan if needed and agreeable
  • Enter listing in the MLS system
  • Schedule professional photo shoot for property
  • Create print materials to keep at the house for showings
  • Market widely on real estate websites
  • Maintain profiles on Realtor.com, Zillow and Trulia
  • Showcase on all major social media platforms
  • Provide regular status reports for website and showing traffic
  • Utilize email marketing to broadcast listings, open houses and other events
  • Schedule and track all property showings through Showing Time
  • Submit newspaper advertisements
  • Hold Open Houses and a broken open if needed

Steps to the Home Buying Process:


Purchasing a home is exciting but can be a complicated and stressful process.  Having the right real estate agent and knowing what to expect can reduce some of that anxiety and help you confidently find your way to your new home.


To help, here’s a step-by-step guide to the home-buying process.

1. Meet with a Real Estate Agent
• Select and work with only one agent
• Have the agent define and explain the buying process
• Help your agent get to know you, your needs & lifestyle
• If you’re considering new construction, let your agent know so they can help

2. Establish Price Range and Financing
• Meet with your lender to determine the amount you can borrow and
obtain a pre-approval letter

3. Start House Hunting
• Define what your needs are (size, bedrooms, location)
• Your agent will set up a search in the MLS to notify you when homes
come on the market with your parameters.
• Your agent will set up showings
• If you find a home that feels right, make a decision sooner rather than
later. Too often, buyers miss out on the house they want because they
waited too long.

4. Complete the Purchase Agreement
• Your agent will advise you during this process. You ultimately make the
final decisions on the elements of the agreement
• The goal is to reach an agreement and purchase the home.
• Read and understand the details of your purchase agreement
